As soon as students start Year Two at UPJ IUP Information System, they will go for an Apprenticeship at an overseas-based IT Start-Up which has an official partnership agreement with the university. Apprenticeship is different from an internship in the manner that student will be treated as an employee and will be assessed based on their performances. They can hold a position in the same company for longer than one year in the same company according to their performances.

To get a hold of an Apprenticeship position, students will be prepared and coached before they go through a recruitment process with the target company similar to employee recruitment. After completing their apprenticeships student will have a high chance to secure a permanent position in that very same company.
